Welcome to Kasauli International Public School, Sanwara website! I hope these pages will capture your imagination and give you some insights into this remarkable school. For over many years, KIPS has touched the lives of young people from all corners of the globe and from all walks of life who have come to this place to live and learn together. The school is an independent, non-profit organisation located high in the Himalayan Shimla foothills near the town of Kasauli in northern India. Drawing on the very best of modern educational practice, education at KIPS is inspired by values which have stood the test of time and prepare students to thrive in the 21st century. Excellence in academics is complemented by a dynamic residential experience and an exceptional enrichment programme, including opportunities for performance, sports, music, community engagement and mountain expeditions. As our Mission Statement puts it, we aim to develop young people who are, “visionary, articulate and ethical — equipped to achieve their full potential in leadership and in life”. Kasauli International Public School is not an easy option — for the challenges are real and the expectations high. However, for young people excited by the possibility of change and motivated to act through personal example and courageous leadership there are real opportunities to make a difference. Our goal is to build a strong foundation for the sound development of all the faculties of the children so as to enable them to be successful in life. The focus will be on exposing the students to the latest in educational technology while learning. Further we would like to foster the interest and involvement of the students in the teaching -learning process by interacting with expert educators and resource persons. It is our sincere endeavour to provide practical learning experiences to our students through workshops, seminars, panel discussions, lectures and enrichment programmes. It is our dream to build a modern institution where every student is given an opportunity to develop his/her potential to the optimum level. Thus we propose to bring about a quality improvement in the curricular and co-curricular atmosphere of the school. Visitors to our campus discover the friendly and energetic atmosphere which makes this such a fascinating place. There is an air of happy purposefulness here, a determination to succeed, to enjoy life, to enjoy each other’s company — and, most importantly, to discover that there is far more in each of us than we think!
