The Opening ceremony will be held on 16^th November, 2023 at 10:00 AM. All the teams shall carry their school flags for March past and various ceremonies. Participation in March past is compulsory otherwise their right to participate can be forfeited.

ELIGIBILITY

(a) Only bonafide students shall be eligible to participate in the Inter-School Tournament. Feeding any non- bonafide student shall lead to disqualification of the team.

(b) A student, who has failed twice in a particular class, shall no more be eligible to participate.

(c) Incomplete information in any respect is liable for disqualification of team.

(d) Any violation in eligibility (over age or Impersonation) shall be dealt according to rules.

(e) Medical checkup may also be applied by the Jury of Appeal appointed by the organizing school in the cases of overage suspicion.

(f) A player shall be under 19 years of age on 31 Dec 2023 i.e. born on or after 01.01.2005 (for U-19)

(g) All the supporting papers verifying the age of the player, etc. in original, as per the CBSE guidelines & rules shall becarried personally by the Team Manager/Coach while reporting for participation.

(h) The players right to participate forfeits if fails to produce the papers supporting the eligibility in original on demand.

(i) If any team is not fulfilling the eligibility criteria before the commencement of the tournament, shall not be permitted to participate.

(j) Maximum two “time outs” per set, of 30 seconds each will be allowed on the request of concerned coach/captain.

(k) The colour and design of the playing kit of the members of team must be the same, except for „libero‟ (defensive player) who must wear a uniform contrast in colour with that of the other members of the team.

(l) At National level, matches shall be played on league cum knock out basis.

(m) All the matches at National level will be played on the basis of best of five sets.

(n) At National level: All the teams reporting may be divided into different pools in such a way that by and large no pool is of less than four teams. From each pool, the two teams emerging on top will qualify to play the knock-out stage matches. The match to decide the third and fourth positions shall also be played.

(o) A team shall consist of a maximum of 12 players. The school Organizing Cluster level competition shall take a Group Photo of the teams that have qualified to participate at National level competition. The photo shall be signed by the host school Principal and forwarded to the school organizing Nationals along with the original entry performa.

(p) Foreign Schools: The schools located in foreign countries shall come under Foreign Zone(s). The winners of foreign zone(s) will participate directly at National level competitions to be organized in India.

DISQUALIFICATIONS

A player/team may be disqualified /scratched for the following reasons.

1. If the ineligibility of any member of the team is detected.

2. Inclusion of non- bonafide student in the team.

3. Misbehavior on ground by player or accompanying official.

4. Use of abusive language by a player or accompanying official.

5. Misbehavior with Officials /Opponents by a player or accompanying official.

6. Indiscipline at the place of stay by a player or accompanying official.

7. Damaging the school property.

8. Indiscipline during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies by a player or accompanying official.

9. Non participation in March Past.

IMPORTANT:

ALL THE PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS TO PROVIDETHE FOLLOWING MANDATORY DOCUEMNTS ON ARRIVAL AT VENUE

(i) The documents for verification in original if asked for.

(ii) The team photo with school Cluster Organizing Principal along with the entry PROFORMA, countersigned by the concerned Principal.

(iii) To provide CBSE registration number for student/player studying in class IX and above.

(iv) To supply the Entry PROFORMA filled-in online, countersigned by the concerned Principal.

GENERAL MANDATORY  INSTRUCTIONS

1. Escort/Coach/Manager shall be held responsible for their student’s behavior and use of slang language. The same shall be reported to their school Principal/Management.

2. At the time if game in progress, players should stay away from the field arena.

3. Player must give attendance prior to the scheduled match as requested by the Chief Officials.

4. Student movement after 10:00 P.M. outside their allotted accommodation room shall not be allowed.

5. It is mandatory for all Coaches and Managers to stay with the students in the allotted rooms.

6. Bringing or use of tobacco sachets, cigarettes, liquor or any illicit material is strictly prohibited in the schoolcampus.

7. If any Coach/Manager/student is found drunk or smoking in campus his/her participation shall be disqualified with immediate effect and same will be informed to their Principal.

8. The host school is not responsible for any incident happens out of school campus during outing of any coach/manager/team or players.

9. No school will be permitted to participate unless they fill the online discipline-wise Entry Proforma and by-hand Entry Proforma would not be accepted.

10. No team will be permitted to play unless accompanied by a teacher/coach at the venue.

11. Any non-designated person accompanying the team will not be entertained for any matter at the venue and will not be permitted to stay in the premises.

12. Dining in the mess arranged by the host school is mandatory for the teams that opt to stay in the school provided accommodation.

13. Every player/team shall carry with them the required documents as mentioned under title “Eligibility”.

14. Every team will carry their two school flags for the purpose of March past and to be used during the various ceremonies. Participation in March past is compulsory, failing which their right to participate can be forfeited.

15. Protest of any nature in connection with the tournament shall be given in writing and must reach the Organizing Secretary and CBSE Observer within 45 minutes of the declaration of the result, duly accompanied by a fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees One Thousand).

16. Such a protest will be considered by ‘Jury of Appeal’, consisting of Principal of the Organizing School, Organizing Secretary, CBSE Observer, Technical Delegate(s) and one or two technically qualified people present at the venue.

17. The parties under dispute may be heard before deciding the issue. In case the protest is upholded, the protest fee shall be refunded to the protesting school otherwise the fee shall be forfeited.

18. The decision taken by the Jury of Appeal will be final and binding.

19. The decision, along with full facts of the protest, may immediately be reported to Sports Cell, CBSE.
